The tour will starts and ends in Arusha the Tourism capital in Northern Tanzania. We meet you at your lodge/hotel in Arusha for short safari briefing in the morning or a day before depart for Tarangire National Park.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1:Arusha – Tarangire National Park
Distance: 139 km
Non Game Viewing Time: 2 to 3 hours.
Morning pick up from your hotel/lodge in Arusha and depart for Tarangire National Park for Game drive. The driving is along Northern Highway and across masai steppe and many village.
Tarangire is among best Northern Tanzania safari parks and it runs along the lines of Tarangire River. Its vegetation is comprises of short grassland, acacia woodland, huge baobab tree, savannah grassland, low lying hills and a swamp area on the South.
Tarangire River and the swamps attracts a large number of wild animal as it is the only permanent water sources in the entire park. Tarangire National park is famous for its large elephant population found nowhere else in Africa.
You may also expect to spot giraffe, buffalo, zebra, impala, wildebeest, warthog, baboons and lots of monkeys. The three rare species of Greater Kudu, Fringed-Eared Oryx and the Ash stalling can also be seen here. Lion, leopard, hyena, jackals, cheetah, vultures and other birds of prey are also inhabit the park. For bird watchers this is the place as over 400 bird species where recently recorded here which include migratory one.
Later afternoon during the sunset drive to lodge for dinner, campfire and overnight. On the way to the lodge you will have a brief stop at Lake Manyara view point for some nice pictures of the Lake Manyara and its forest from the edge of Great East African Rift Valley.

Day 2:Tarangire National Park – Ngorongoro Crater
Distance: 50 km
Non Game Viewing Time: 1 hour
After breakfast drive up to Ngorongoro highlands, spend few minutes for registration at the gate before driving up to the Crater view point where you can make a brief stop to see the most breathtaking views of the Crater floor from the rim, you may take some pictures before descending over 600 meters high walls into the Crater floor for a full day game drive.
Ngorongoro Crater is often referred by many as the Eden of Africa. Supported by yearly around water suply & fodder, large mammals and plain animals are making home in this natural wildlife sanctuary.
Lunch box will be taken at the Crater floor close to the pool where elephant someime swimming to cool their body in ot days. You can expect to spot herds of wildebeest, eland, zebra, hippos, African elephant, gazelles and the rare black rhino in their natural habitat.
Another big draw card in this huge caldera is the denser population of predators which include lion, hyena, cheetah, jackals and the ever-illusive leopard that needs sharp eye to be spotted. All this animals are bounded by the volcanic walls of over 600 meters and can be viewed in a very close range.
You will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner which is among the main features of the crater. Large flocks of flamingos, many aquatic birds & hippos can usually being seen here. Late afternoon drive out & back to Lodge for dinner & overnight.

Day 3:Ngorongoro – Lake Manyara National Park – Arusha
Distance to Lake Manyara: 37 km
Non Game Viewing Time: 45 minutes
Distance Lake Manyara to Arusha: 120 km
On this day after breakfast we will take you to Lake Manyara National Park the ever green park nestling at the base of the Great East African Rift Valley endowed with lots of underground water streams from the Rift Valley.
Lake Manyara varried & overlapping habitats supports a large number of animal species which include herds elephant, zebra, buffalo, girafee, warthog & others. The famous Lake Manyara tree climbing lions and larger flocks of flamings are among the highlights of this park. Leopard, hyena and jackal are some of the predtors to be seen.
Afterward drive back to Arusha, if you wish you may visit Mto wa Mbu market or any Masai market on the way before reaching Arusha in late afternoon. Please let us know if you are flying on this day or need accommodation in Arusha.
