The focus during this trip will be on the western part of the Serengeti, where the Great Migration crossing the Grumeti River from June to October. The herds of wildebeest and zebra must outsmart the huge Nile crocodiles and fast flowing water before facing predators waiting on the other side.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 : Arusha- Tarangire

After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park, enjoy a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch. The park consists of natural vegetation mainly of Acacia woodland and giant African Baobab trees, with huge swamp areas in the south. Both the river and the swamps act like a magnet for wild animals, during Tanzania’s dry season. The Tarangire National Park is reputed to contain some of the largest elephant herds in Africa. This African National Park is also home to three rare species of animals – the Greater Kudu, the Fringed-eared Oryx, as well as a few Ashy Starlings.

Day 2 : Tarangire – Serengeti

After breakfast, we head towards the Serengeti National Park, via the beautiful high lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. We head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species.

Day 3 & 4: Follow up Migration Serengeti (Full day)

After breakfast, you will have a chance to follow up on migration to Northern Serengeti. The park still has so many to offer apart from the migration as the endless plain is a home for lions, leopards, elephants, cheetah, buffalo, wildebeest migration, eland, wild dogs, gazelle, crocodiles, and many more. Also, you will enjoy a variety of birds that decorate the park with different sounds.

Day 5 : Game drive at Central Serengeti (Full day)

After breakfast, have a full-day game drive in the park, lunch at the lodge /campsite. The park has an endless plain which is a home for lions, leopards, elephants, cheetah, buffalo, wildebeest migration, eland, wild dogs, gazelle, crocodiles and many more. Also, you will enjoy a variety of birds that decorate the park with different sounds.

Day 6 : Serengeti – Ngorongoro

Enjoy early breakfast, have a morning game drive, Then we depart to Ngorongoro Conservation area with game drive en route.

Day 7 : Ngorongoro crater

Early morning breakfast, then depart to Lake Manyara for game drive.
The park have varied habitat that attracts a wide variety of animals, including one of Africa’s largest concentrations of elephants, Lake Manyara’s unique tree-climbing lions, zebra, buffalo, giraffe, baboons, warthog, as well as large flocks of flamingos attracted by the algae in the lake. 

Late afternoon drive back to Arusha
